WhatsApp on Nexus 7

Install WhatsApp on Nexus 7

This blog is all about nexus 7.Although i like nexus 7 very much but one thing that always bother me is ,why i can not install whatsApp on it.Why whatsApp is not available on play store. Then i tried out multiple things to install it on my nexus and now i successfully use whatsApp on nexus 7.

Steps :

1. Install any file explorer in your device.I prefer File Manager HD.
2. Connect your device with Laptop via  USB.
    2.1 Go to settings-->storage
2.2 In storage select settings icon on upper left corner and select USB computer connection.
2.3 Select USB Computer Connection as PTP.

3. Now  download WhatsApp.apk on your laptop/computer via
Click to download respective WhatsApp.apk file

4. Transfer WhatsApp.apk into  nexus7/Internal Storage/Pictures.
5. Now on nexus 7 open File manager HD and move the WhatApp.apk in download folder.
6.Now click on file and install.
7.Now you are ready to use whatsapp.

  1. Hi Mayank ,

Kudos to the blog first Mate.
All the above steps are working so perfectly.
After Installing whatsapp , If I "Agree and Continue" the terms and condition , am getting an Alert Message saying, " Note : tablets are currently not supported ".

Help me out to overcome this !! Awaiting for your reply !!

    Thanks in advance,
    Sibi.
